Catherine is a highly accomplished professional as both a researcher and research administrator for over 20 years. Following a successful research career in paediatric respiratory medicine, she has held senior leadership roles in both university and government sectors. With experience across multiple sectors including government, university, industry, start-ups and not-for-profit, Catherine has established herself as a well-respected expert in the research ethics, regulatory, compliance and integrity fields.
Catherine’s expertise spans a range of disciplines with a focus on clinical medicine and agriculture. Expanding on her research skills, Catherine’s knowledge extends to research management including human research ethics, animal research ethics, research integrity, research policy, research governance regulations/legislation, compliance and risk management. Her commitment to ethical research practices is widely recognised, and she is a leading authority in the field.
She is recognised nationally for her knowledge of and commitment to ethics and integrity and has contributed at a state and national level to integrity frameworks and guidelines. Her specialist skills in regulatory compliance and investigations have made her an invaluable asset in highly regulated, high-risk, and complex governance constructs. She is also adept in change management, having led successful change initiatives across various organisations.

Catherine is married and has two children. They enjoy spending time together holidaying in Busselton and fishing. She is committed to InterEarth to ensure a cleaner future for her children and future generations.
